Even though some of his earlier works were inspired by famous artists like Georgia O’Keeffe, Jerry Dwight has yet to fully develop his own style. When asked about his personal style, Jerry Dwight just smiled and said, “Developing a certain style works just fine for artists who want to be known for a particular genre of art. But, there is such a wide variety of mediums that I would like to explore, that I don’t want to limit myself to just one or two.”

“Art is the creative expression that comes from within and is nurtured by the beautiful things we see around us. The hard part is finding the right medium that will effectively bring your passions to life visually.”

“Far too often we turn our backs on the problems facing our fellow man, being only concerned for ourselves and our families. Empathy allows us to see the situation, not from our own perspective, but through the eyes of the person experiencing the problem. Even so, action is required on our part to possibly make the situation a little better.”

A native of St. Louis Missouri, Jerry Dwight’s artistic talents have taken on many different forms. Jerry Dwight’s goal, as an artist, is to continue developing his craft; and at the same time, bring joy to others through his paintings and pencil drawings.
